Andrew Domovich, Leading ACT into the Future

MIDDLETOWN, PA | Feb. 19, 2025: Advanced Conversion Technology (ACT), an employee-owned business in Central PA, is under new leadership. Tracy Shaffer, CEO, retired at the end of Dec. 2024—and Andy Domovich, Shaffer’s successor and standing President of ACT, has stepped into his role as head of the company. As announced in a press release last year, Domovich joined the company in June of 2024 to support Shaffer’s transition into retirement. Shaffer remains a member of the Board of Directors.

Domovich joins ACT with a background in overseeing companies in the electronics and manufacturing industries, holding leadership roles at a Fortune 500 company in the electronics industry and a privately held company specializing in the design and manufacturing of rare earth magnets and magnet assemblies. A life-long Pennsylvanian, he found his next career prospect with ACT. “The opportunity to change industries while continuing to contribute to the defense of our nation and its allies was important to me,” says Domovich. “ACT and its proven successful performance, robust leadership team, and highly skilled workforce, was a perfect fit.”

At work, Domovich likes to foster a team atmosphere centered on achieving collective success through personnel development, effective communication, and focused time commitment and investment in the critical resources that further the ACT enterprise. “I believe these areas are so important in business today, and even more so in an employee-owned business,” says Domovich. “In parallel with this, I’ve always felt that a good work-life balance is pivotal. Committing time to family, fitness, and causes we care about compliments productive work.”

Staying focused on the company’s mission to design, build, and support power solutions that perform and protect, Domovich says that his focus will remain on ACT’s customers and staff. “Our primary goals will continue to be partnering effectively with our customers to deliver the best-performing products for their applications while at the same time enhancing the value that our enterprise represents to its employee-owners,” says Domovich.

The future is bright for ACT. “ACT will continue to invest in its employees, in product technologies, and in advancing our processes, allowing us to grow profitably—while being a great employer and partner to the local community,” adds Domovich.
