Our engineers have designed and built numerous custom military-grade AC-DC power supplies and military power converters to meet one of the primary AC input power specifications: MIL-STD-704 (aircraft) and MIL-STD-1399 (shipboard). Packaging options have included rack mounted, bench mounted, or ruggedized frame mounts.
From 1 to 3 phase inputs, 60 Hz or 400 Hz, we can provide you with a design to meet your custom power supply needs. We can also incorporate an active PFC front end, which provides less than 3% total current harmonic distortion. We specialize in 3 phase, 400 Hz power supply products, and provide a full range of product options for your application.
ACT power products have been deployed to applications that are in severe environments. We have AC-DC military power supplies that have been tested to many levels of the shock and vibration requirements of MIL-STD-801, MIL-STD-202, and MIL-STD-167 and the high impact shock requirements of MIL-DTL-901. Since electromagnetic interference is also a concern for the military, our products can be designed and tested to any or all of MIL-STD-461. Our products are capable of operating in environments with temperature ranges from -55 °C to +105 °C and high altitude up to 100,000 ft, including applications that require hermetically sealed enclosures.
